But a talented musician like John Mayer and his (majestic in its simplicity) album "Continuum"..... can do it for you.

Continuum: a continuous series or whole, no part of which is noticeably different from its adjacent parts, although the ends or extremes of it are very different from each other.

I can't think of a very good example of a continuum but this will do instead
