Try as I might NOT to add to what I consider to be the hand-wringing, middle classes' despair and abject horror over the baby, I also realise that these grotesque actions need to be recorded, reported, set down, if we are to understand but more importantly prevent such occurrences. In our cosy corner of society it is hard to imagine such inhumane actions. One can only believe that such behaviour originates from a brain incapable of conscience or basic human emotion. How did it get that bad?
We certainly have an underclass that has developed, but from where? A section of society that believes the benefit culture to be a life choice rather than a safety net. I came from working class parents. My Dad was an apprentice and got his City and Guilds and went on to become a heating and ventillating engineer. My Mum a housewife, postlady, and barmaid amongst other things. They both worked very hard to look after the family. They both were accountable and responsible. An underclass is none of these things. Surely an underclass has to be categorised thus, as where else could behaviours as grotesque as these originate?
Detritus, or as I prefer plain speaking - SHITE!

no you speak the truth. i deal with folk every day that believe it is societies duty to look after them...i can tell you that some of them earn more than 25 grand a year with all their benefits and have snide jobs...But we as a society watch it go on and do nowt...
